Icy Ridge Running

January in Alaska: 20's-40's and rain?! Freezing rain still makes for some beautiful photography conditions.. as long as you don't almost fall on your face (like I do) every few steps :)
A few faves from a run with my friend Jeremy last weekend. Flattop-Peak2-Peak3.

Bird Ridge: Winter Summit

December 27, 2014
Still one of my favorite hikes near Anchorage, Bird Ridge is short and offers sweet views nearly the entire way. This was my first time hiking it in winter. The sunrise/sunset (who really knows? pink sky the entire time) was a fantastic backdrop above Turnagain Arm.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
