Part III: exploring the Peruvian Amazon, August 2014
One of my favorite parts of being at the TRC (Tambopata Research Center) was wandering the jungle at night with headlamps. It was super eerie and kinda of amazing how many "new" creatures emerged from their hiding spots at night. This part of the Amazon houses some of the most diverse and poisonous jungle insects and reptiles. I felt the wondrous awe of a child around every bend in the trail.. aside from moments when I walked into spider webs (and, I'm still checking myself for Bot flies...) ;)
way cool!
